The chimaera fish, also known as the ghost shark or ratfish, is a hideously disgusting breed of shark. It is an extremely old species and live 2,600 feet below the surface, making them generaly harder to find. They hunt and defend themselves by using poisonous spines on their backs. These fish only have one gill opening. They have a cartilaginous skelaton, like most of the members of their family. Their upper jaw is fused with its skull, making it different from a regular shark. They don't have all the sharp teeth that a shark has. Their teeth are dull, meant for grinding like stones. Ain't he cute?
