The Kraken is a giant, squidy thing that likes to capture innocent ships and drag the screaming sailers to their watery, untimely deaths. They show up mostly in Norse mythgology, being the the way Norsians explain the disaperances of ships. Basically they cover up storms, pirates and other enemies, sharp rocks, and getting lost with giant squid monster. These poor guys get blamed for everything. I know how they feel. Some crazy people tried to fish for this thing, as it has a rather large price over it's head, but they never come back, so they say. I, personally, think they sailed off, found a nice island, and live there to get away from their enemies, job, and wife.
