Treefolk are humanoid spirits of the forest. They kind of run hot and cold, sometimes they're good. But other times, they have the need to throtel their innocent victems with iron hard roots or bash their skulls with their branches. The picture shows an example of a bad tree monster, beleive it or not. The good ones are protected by the nice little forest faries, but the bad ones (which are much stronger) try to kill them.Oak, Ash, Single thorn, and female Holly treefolk are thought to be protective. Oak trees are particularly sacred to faeries and have the greatest likelihood of sentience. Of the protective treefolk, the most powerful is the mountain Ash, also known as Rowan . It may be considered protective because of its red berries, which the female Holly shares. Treefolk of these types are most likely to be friendly in nature. The worst of the bad treefolk are scarwood, as the picture shows.
