The gold streaked tenrec is a fancy little rodent that looks like it's covered in spines. It uses this for self defense. Imagine trying to bite into this thing. It is called a golden streaked tenrec because, as you can see, it is streaked with gold. They aren't very big, like the hedgehog that it looks like, it's only about the size of a large mouse. Their main diet is earthworms, grass, and roots. It obveously isn't very picky about what it eats. Their spines can come out, which it leaves in it's enemies, but they grow back. If you want to be able to find one of these little guys, looks in the forests of Madagascar, near water sources such as ponds, creeks, or lakes. You can find their little burrows, where they live in famalies of around 24.
